Norton Planning Board accepts SRO Development’s request to withdraw site plan for 0 West Main Street

April 7 — NORTON — The Norton Planning Board voted unanimously to accept a written request from SRO Development LLC, care of Michael Arkin, to withdraw Site Plan Review #9 and Special Permit #17 for 0 West Main Street without prejudice.
The chair put the withdrawal on the floor and members moved and seconded the motion; the board recorded a 6–0 voice vote in favor. The application had proposed two “top-of-the-shop” buildings totaling 35 residential units and 65 parking spaces. Board members said the applicant told them it remains actively revising plans and intends to return to the full board with a new proposal when ready.
Board members did not take additional public testimony on the application after accepting the withdrawal. The chair noted the project had been continued from earlier in February and that the letter from SRO Development LLC was now on file.
The board’s next regular meeting is scheduled for April 21 and the town election is April 11; Town Meeting is set for May 18, where other planning-related items will appear on the warrant.
