During the public comment period, resident Jim Lawrence asked whether the Village could add a bike lane on Schaaf Road and requested that Village Police enforce Ohio Revised Code 4511.50 regarding pedestrian roadway use. Mayor Procuk said the Safety Committee could be scheduled to discuss the matter if Council wished to pursue it.
Councilman Raymond Berzins called a Safety Committee meeting for Jan. 20 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss the potential installation of a bike lane on Schaaf Road and to determine whether to move forward with obtaining cost estimates. The Village Engineer, Jennifer Zoldak, confirmed she would attend the meeting.
Council did not make a funding decision at the Jan. 6 meeting; the item was set for committee review and potential future action.
