At its July 24 meeting the RSU 82/MSAD 12 board voted to table multiple superintendent recommendations, including proposed budget transfers and recommended teacher assignments for the 2024–25 school year.
The superintendent’s recommended budget transfers recorded in the minutes included a transfer from Article IX to Article VII in the amount of $14,528.18 and a transfer from Article VI to Article VII of $5,500.00. The board moved to table both the 2023–24 and 2024–25 transfer recommendations; Karla Talpey moved to table and motions were seconded (the minutes record the tabling motions as passing with six affirmative votes). The board also moved to table the superintendent’s recommended teacher assignments for 2024–25.
Later in the meeting, following a second executive session on personnel, the board voted to have the superintendent come weekly for two days until Sept. 1, 2024; that motion was moved by Debbie Petrin and seconded by Linda Griffin and is recorded in the minutes as passing with six affirmative votes.
