Paniprog returns July 4–12 with 80+ activities, new events and expanded vendor line‑up

Paul Jacobus, president of Paniprog, told the Lakeville City Council that Paniprog will run July 4–12 and feature more than 80 activities and more than 90 sponsors.
"We have over 80 plus activities that will be taking place," Jacobus said, listing live music, sporting contests, children's programming and downtown food vendors. He said five sponsoring restaurants and 34 primary food vendors will be centered downtown.
Jacobus introduced Christa Czech as the board's marketing director and first vice president; Czech distributed festival materials and the board unveiled a new Paniprog app and a 52–56 page festival magazine distributed to about 8,500 residents. "Go download the app," Jacobus urged, describing social media reach and the pocket schedule distribution.
Organizers highlighted several new or expanded events: Applewood Orchard will add a maze and cider‑making demonstrations; the city and Parks & Rec will host a first‑ever Paniprog bocce ("botchi") tournament at Spyglass Park; a youth tennis tournament is scheduled for Saturday, July 11 at Lakeville North; the festival will include an expanded Boho Marketplace at the ice arena with roughly 90 vendors and increased shuttle service; and a pet expo with K‑9 demonstrations will replace the former pet show.
The board also previewed Tribute Night featuring a nationally known act, added shuttle service for high‑attendance events, and said the Lakeville Lunatics town baseball team will close the festival (new annual tradition) with the newly crowned Miss Lakeville expected to throw the first pitch.
Jacobussaid the board works closely with city departments for logistics — streets and parks, fire and police for traffic and safety, and assistance with barricades, restrooms and trash — and thanked the council for its support.
The presentation concluded with council members thanking Paniprog volunteers and board members for planning and marketing work; no formal council action was required.
