The Cranmer property was discussed in detail: selectmen reviewed a $20,000 estimate to reroute ditching around a tree and asked staff to send a signed letter advising owners that the more expansive tree-saving option was not feasible.
Cape Rosier Road suffered a partial collapse during the year; selectmen and public works crews closed the road temporarily and performed emergency repairs to reopen lanes within hours. The board emphasized that replacing culverts while heavy equipment is in town is cost-effective and voted to proceed with several targeted culvert projects.
