Mayor swears in new sergeant and council member; highlights successful parade and log cabin move

In her report, Mayor Goodman said the village's Christmas parade and tree lighting went smoothly, praised parade organizers Sherry Segna and Carole Winkle and noted the tree was donated by a member of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church congregation while Lakewood High School Choir performed at the event. Goodman said traffic was handled better this year and that officials may adjust parade dates or routing in the future.
The mayor also said the historic log cabin move is scheduled for Dec. 18 and said the village has had productive conversations with the new property owners; she added the village is nearing a hire for the development director position after several interviews.
The meeting included ceremonial swearing-in and community updates; no citizen comments were recorded.
