Buckeye Lake council adopts floodplain agreement and several appropriations; routine finance reports approved

Buckeye Lake Village Council on Nov. 10, 2025 unanimously approved a package of procedural and budget items, including a contract for county administration of floodplain regulations and several amendments to the village's permanent appropriations ordinance.
The council voted 7-0 to suspend the rules and adopt Ordinance 2025-69, authorizing the mayor to enter an agreement with the Licking County Planning Commission to administer floodplain regulations for the village. Council President John Lemmon presided over the vote.
Councilors then suspended rules and adopted Ordinances 2025-70 and 2025-71, both amending the village's permanent appropriations ordinance, each by a 7-0 roll-call vote. Earlier in the meeting, on a separate motion, the council adopted Ordinance 2025-62 (amending Ordinance 2024-66 on permanent appropriations) after a third reading; that motion passed 7-0 with one abstention noted on a different item earlier in the meeting.
On routine financial matters, Councilor Douglas Keener moved and Councilor Kellie Green seconded approval of the September 2025 reconciliations and the Treasurer's report dated Nov. 6, 2025; the motion carried on a unanimous roll call. The council also approved the Oct. 27 regular meeting minutes (motion passed with one abstention).
