Committee delays votes on grants, considers $35,000 Shoreline Trolley pilot

Town Manager Mike Pardue described a proposed two-year Shoreline Trolley pilot that would raise town support from $9,000 to $35,000 to operate two 14-passenger vans about 12 hours a day, serving hotels, restaurants and other town facilities with accessibility equipment. Finance Director Jodie Sanborn said Community Gourmet’s request was reduced from $5,000 to $1,000; the committee asked staff for more financial detail before deciding.
A motion to delay voting on the grants until the March 4 meeting passed 7-0 so the committee can review balance sheets and partnership proposals.
