Silver Lake Council unanimously adopts five ordinances, including budget and salary changes

The Village of Silver Lake Council unanimously adopted five ordinances during its Dec. 1 meeting, approving measures on debt service, appropriations and employee wages.
Council President Matt Plesich presided and roll call showed seven members present. Following discussion, council members moved and approved suspension of rules where applicable and then adopted the following ordinances with roll-call votes of 7–0 on each final adoption:
- Ordinance No. 102‑2025: Approving execution of a purchase order for Flagstar Public Funding Corp. for debt service; motion to suspend rules by Council Member Suzanne Garrett, seconded by Phil Kaplan; motion to adopt by Suzanne Garrett, seconded by Phil Kaplan; adoption 7–0.
- Ordinance No. 103‑2025: Amending appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for fiscal year ending Dec. 31, 2025; motion to suspend rules by Suzanne Garrett, seconded by Betsy Meyer; motion to adopt by Suzanne Garrett, seconded by Betsy Meyer; adoption 7–0.
- Ordinance No. 82‑2025: Amending the salary ordinance and eliminating the hybrid position of Assistant to the Clerk‑Treasurer / Police Administrative Assistant; motion to suspend rules by Suzanne Garrett, seconded by Phil Kaplan; motion to adopt by Suzanne Garrett, seconded by Kevin Rozsa; adoption 7–0.
- Ordinance No. 80‑2025: Amending council rules (third reading); motion to adopt by Phil Kaplan, seconded by Kevin Rozsa; adoption 7–0 (no suspension of rules required on third reading).
- Ordinance No. 75‑2025: Appropriating funds for fiscal year ending Dec. 31, 2026 (previously tabled until Dec. 1); motion to adopt by Suzanne Garrett, seconded by Chris Scott; adoption 7–0.
None of the ordinance adoptions recorded a roll-call no vote or abstention. There were no amendments to the motions recorded in the minutes and no further conditions attached in the meeting record.
