The Village of Silver Lake council on Monday unanimously adopted Ordinance No. 105-2025 to amend 2025 appropriations.
Clerk-Treasurer Sean Housley told council he needed to increase several appropriation lines after an unanticipated storm produced about $3,500 in Service Department overtime and because the final pay period will be paid in January 2026, which shifts some costs into the next fiscal year. Council moved to suspend the rules on the ordinance (moved by Council member Suzanne Garrett; seconded by Chris Scott). The roll-call vote to suspend was 7–0. Council then moved to adopt the ordinance (moved by Ms. Garrett; seconded by Betsy Meyer) and again approved it 7–0.
Outcome: Ordinance 105-2025 was adopted by unanimous roll-call vote. The ordinance adjusts appropriations to reflect storm overtime costs and payroll timing; no further conditions were recorded at the meeting.
