Chair Israel Gonzales opened the meeting and the committee confirmed a full quorum: Gonzales, Juan Ventura, Lizabeth Flowers and Barbara Quiroz. The committee first approved the minutes from the March 12 meeting on a motion by Barbara Quiroz, seconded by Lizabeth Flowers, with a unanimous roll call vote in favor.
The committee then considered four new-business plan applications. For Plan #3162, for Raul Vargas (listed at 75 Redondo Ave., Thermal, CA; APN 001-133-002-000), the committee approved the application with changes that corrected the lot size to match the property title and required inclusion of a variance letter. Barbara Quiroz moved approval; Lizabeth Flowers seconded. The full committee voted yes on the roll call.
Plan #3163, for Joseph Lozano (1355 Nile Dr., Thermal, CA; APN 008-501-011-000), was approved on a motion by Lizabeth Flowers and a second from Juan Ventura; the roll call vote was unanimous.
Plan #3164, for Luis Mandujano (Grissom Ave., Salton City; APN 007-841-006-000), was approved by unanimous roll call following a motion by Barbara Quiroz and a second by Lizabeth Flowers. The meeting minutes contain an internal inconsistency in the street number for this application (the header lists 1445 Grissom Ave.; the motion text records 1145). The committee’s approval as recorded applies to Plan #3164 linked to APN 007-841-006-000.
Plan #3165, for Mario Portugal (2142 Iridescent Ave., Salton City; APN 015-123-007-000), was approved on a motion by Barbara Quiroz, seconded by Lizabeth Flowers, with a unanimous roll call vote.
