Centre County extends youth and behavioral health contracts and renews Penns Valley Senior Center lease

Julia Sprinkle presented several Human Services items on June 9 and the Board voted unanimously to add them to next week’s Consent Agenda. Items included: (i) a contract renewal with the Centre County Youth Service Bureau for drug and alcohol services totaling $334,416 (State $318,999; County match $15,417) covering Jan. 1–June 30, 2026 (Dept. 562); (ii) Contract Addendum No. 1 with Service, Access, and Management, Inc. providing an additional $30,000 for targeted case management under the First Episode Psychosis Grant (raising the provider maximum from $148,434 to $178,434; State $170,208; County match $8,226) for July 1, 2025–June 30, 2026 (Dept. 561); and (iii) a $5,000 addendum with Kids First to increase early intervention services (raising that provider maximum from $30,000 to $35,000; State $31,500; County match $3,500) for July 1, 2025–June 30, 2026 (Dept. 561).
In Aging matters, Brandy Lose asked the Board to add a lease renewal with John and Tamy Myers for the Penns Valley Senior Center to next week’s Consent Agenda. The lease sets monthly rates of $1,300 for FY 26–27, $1,326 for FY 27–28 and $1,352.52 for FY 28–29; the contract total is $47,742.24 and is noted as State funded for July 1, 2026–June 30, 2029 (Dept. 521).
All items were placed on the Consent Agenda for formal approval next week; the public minutes record no substantive public debate at the meeting.
