The Board of Assessors of Sandy River Plantation moved the town’s money market funds into a higher‑yield account at Franklin Savings Bank and agreed to keep the Skowhegan Savings Bank checking account open for an additional month to allow outstanding checks to clear.
The action, recorded at the Aug. 27 meeting, followed completion of required paperwork. The clerk reported the transfers were complete and that the temporary extension of the Skowhegan account is intended only to provide time for pending checks to clear.
The Board did not record a roll‑call vote for the transfer; the minutes state the paperwork has been submitted and the funds have been moved. The Board also reviewed related continuing‑business items but took no further financial actions at the meeting.
The Board is scheduled to next meet Sept. 10, when members may revisit financial or administrative follow‑ups.
