Rome selectmen approve Jan. 12 minutes; hear mapping update, notary assignment and winter accessibility change

A motion by 3rd Selectman Philip Burnworth to approve the Jan. 12 minutes was seconded by 2nd Selectman Larry DiPietro and passed 3-0. Later in the meeting, 1st Selectman Kelly Archer moved to adjourn at 7:00 p.m.; DiPietro seconded and the motion also passed 3-0.
Tammy Lyons, the town's Tax Collector/Treasurer, reported that KVCOG is updating the town's digital maps and said she could assist with the transition to a new town treasurer for a fee; the fee amount was not specified at the meeting. Administrative Assistant Kelsey Prosser will become a notary for town use because Town Clerk Julie Morrison's new duties as Tax Collector will conflict with notarizing tax documents.
The board also recorded a temporary winter change to handicapped parking: officials agreed to redirect handicapped parking to the side of the building with covered ramp access after falling snow from the roof was reported to obstruct the front ramp. The board set the next regularly scheduled meeting for Monday, Feb. 9 at 6:00 p.m.
