Craig Alexander, chair of the committee, reported Great Pond at 246.35' (about 15.5" below full) with the gate open 15". Committee member Tom Bennett reported Long Pond at 236.11' (about 14" below full) with Gate 1 open 30". Committee member Ted Fontaine reported Salmon Lake at 277.2' (about 9" below full), noting Gate 3 turns and Valve 1 cfs (cubic foot per second). Committee member Dick Greenan reported Messalonskee Lake at 235.10' (about 3.6" below full).
Tom Bennett said his name should replace 'Cam' on the December minutes, then moved to accept the minutes; Blaine Horrocks seconded the motion and the committee voted all in favor. The committee recorded no new maintenance issues at this meeting.
The panel directed dam operators to continue monitoring water levels and to slowly draw down as needed to maintain the upper end of winter storage. The committee did not adopt any new maintenance projects or changes to operating procedures at this session.
The committee scheduled its next meeting for Monday, Feb. 9 at 4:00 p.m. The meeting adjourned at 4:18 p.m.
