The board accepted three staff resignations during its March 17 meeting. The resignations recorded in the minutes are: Dana Hughes, elementary school paraprofessional, effective at the end of the 2024-25 school year (retirement); Jacob Loy, high school business teacher and coach, effective at the same date; and Meshele Long, assistant cheer coach, effective at the same date. Each resignation was accepted by motion of Board Member David Sulton and carried 4-0.
The board then approved rehiring all certified/licensed employees whose names appeared on the submitted lists for the 2025-26 school year. Karen Scott made the motion to rehire those employees; David Sulton seconded, and the motion passed 4-0. The minutes do not include the rehired employees’ names or the details of the rehire lists.
These personnel actions were recorded without discussion of replacement plans for the listed positions; district administration will manage vacancies and hiring as needed.
