Timothy Derouche was elected chair of the Town of Roxbury Board of Selectmen after a nomination by Selectman Matthew Patneaude and a second by Selectman Ray Hodsdon; the board voted 3-0 to confirm Derouche as chair. The vote followed the meeting’s opening at 6 p.m. at the Town Office.
The board then moved unanimously to enter an executive session under 1 M.R.S. §405(6)(E) for consultation with legal counsel and, by unanimous vote, returned to open session. After the executive session, Ray Hodsdon moved — and the board approved 3-0 — that Renee Hodsdon contact the Perkins Thompson law firm to arrange legal counsel for the town.
Selectmen also noted an outstanding need to recruit members for the Board of Appeals; no appointments were made at the meeting. The board adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
