Board President Jeff McJunkins presided as the Magnet Cove School District #8 Board of Education voted 5-0 Thursday to hire Cameron Alexander as the district’s superintendent effective July 1, 2025.
The motion, which appears in the meeting minutes, called for a three-year contract using the current multiplier of .6090 and for the district to provide a school vehicle. Board member Karen Scott made the motion and board member Mike Hughes seconded; the vote was recorded as 5-0 in favor.
The board met in a special session at the administration building.
