RSU 23 unveils draft FY27 budget; public presentations set for April and May

The superintendent directed residents to submit questions in advance to budgetcomments@rsu23.org.
The board was told the district is operating under budget with two‑thirds of the fiscal year complete. Finance committee remarks at the meeting also flagged projected healthcare premium increases incorporated into FY27 planning (a 10% planning estimate) and noted an ongoing assessment of repair versus replacement options for the Loranger Boiler Project in coordination with Oak Point, with contingency funds available to offset costs.
No votes on the budget were taken at this meeting; the presentation was informational and scheduled further opportunities for public review and comment.
