An RSU 20 administrator, identified in the meeting as Josh, told the board the district will join a rural high-school cohort run by Count Me In to examine chronic absenteeism and truancy and to adopt systems aimed at reducing absent days across the middle and high schools.
Josh said the district will also begin onboarding Rubicon Atlas to make curriculum documents publicly accessible, responding to prior accreditation recommendations that materials be available in a public-facing format. He described the upcoming onboarding meeting and said staff will work to upload curriculum documents with a target of completing the public-facing curriculum by the end of the school year.
Josh also reported staffing is nearly complete for the coming year and provided a facilities update including summer custodial work, flooring refinishing, gym lobby repairs scheduled for Aug. 4–6, and replacement of an underground propane tank at the middle/high school anticipated in August. Board members asked about accreditation timelines; Josh said the accreditation team is expected to return in fall 2026 to evaluate progress on three stated objectives.
