At its May 6 meeting, the Mendota City Council unanimously approved the consent calendar, which included the warrant list for March 25–April 24 (Checks 56166–56364) totaling $1,956,107.74 and multiple contract authorizations.
The consent items approved included Resolution No. 25-22 (adopting a new Records and Information Management Policy and retention schedule), Resolution No. 25-23 and Resolution No. 25-24 (each approving a Proposal and Consultant Services Agreement with Provost & Pritchard Consulting Group for engineering design of the Water Treatment Plant tank replacement and the Westside Sewer Interceptor, respectively) and Resolution No. 25-25 (for preparation of a focused general plan update). The council also approved Resolution No. 25-26, an amendment to a nonexclusive license agreement with Ramon Gonzalez for racetrack operations at the former William Robert Johnston Municipal Airport site.
Council members also ratified letters of support for Assembly Bill 36 (Soria) on streamlining pro-housing designations, Assembly Bill 457 (Soria) concerning farmworker housing development in Fresno, Madera, and Merced Counties, and a letter supporting Intersect Power in connection with the Darden Clean Energy Project.
The consent calendar was moved by Council Member Libertad Lopez, seconded by Council Member Joseph R. Riofrio, and approved unanimously (4 ayes, absent: Mayor Pro Tem Jose Alonso).
