The superintendent said the district conducts lockdown drills and has practiced reunifying students with families, and the district will examine new evidence‑based lockdown trainings to determine whether additional updates are needed. "We did practice our reunification plan which we had done for the first time and that was really important," the superintendent said.
The motion to adopt the plan — described in the meeting materials as the "crisis management support plan" — was moved, seconded and approved without dissent. Board members emphasized that the adoption is administrative (updating contact information and administrator assignments) rather than a rewrite of response procedures.
