Flaherty said the district will receive an additional state subsidy of $145,000 by the end of June that had not been budgeted, and that RFPs for a Lawrence Middle School (LMS) boiler replacement will be issued the week of May 25. He said the district expects to use Emergency Contingency Funds to cover the estimated $150,000–$200,000 project cost.
"We are 5.4% below budget at this time," Flaherty reported. The board did not take formal action at the May 21 meeting to appropriate contingency funds; the discussion was an update on planned procurement and funding expectations.
