The district said it plans to convert those positions to regular teaching contracts if and when the staff complete certification requirements.
Board members were told the change should increase direct instructional support at the middle school and reduce paperwork burdens on existing staff; no separate appropriation was required at the meeting because the position reallocation was represented as budget‑neutral for the year.
