Adult education presenters reported meeting state targets and asked the board to accept an anonymous $22,000 donation to support medical pathways and student supports; the board moved and approved acceptance. Principal Haley Fenton described a $2,500 Friends of Acadia grant to build student-designed butterfly and pollinator gardens and add outdoor learning materials; the board approved the grant.
Other gifts approved included $10,000 anonymous donations to Cave Hill and to the high-school marine pathways program (trustees of the Musmos Foundation), and an $8,000 contribution from Healthy Acadia designated for maker space and robotics travel and fees. Facilities and operations manager Janet Jordan outlined three Full Plates Full Potential grants totaling $5,732 for kitchen equipment ($1,750), barcode scanners ($882) and after-school meal supports ($3,100); the board accepted those grants as well.
Board members praised the community and nonprofit support and applauded program staff. Several presenters emphasized how the funds will be used (for equipment, student supplies, robotics participation fees, and steps to increase meal access) and asked the board to accept the gifts as designated.
