At its June 2 meeting, the Chebeague Island School Committee approved the meeting agenda and the May 19, 2026 minutes by unanimous votes. Elizabeth Doughty moved to approve the agenda; Caitlin Henningsen seconded, and the motion passed 5-0-0. Caitlin Henningsen moved to approve the May 19 minutes; Erin Layng seconded, and that motion also passed 5-0-0.
Superintendent Aaron Townsend told the committee the U.S. Department of Education had confirmed receipt of the district's REAP grant application for next year. He also reported that PBS Kids released a video that included Chebeague Island School students and that a Maine Public Broadcasting reporter had emailed saying a related story is expected to be released next week. Townsend also reviewed Town Meeting warrant articles with the committee to prepare for Town Meeting scheduled for Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. The meeting adjourned at 6:45 p.m.
