Council members then read and approved separate resolutions recognizing Portuguese Heritage Month and Pride Month; sponsors and co-sponsors spoke to the cultural and civic contributions of those communities. Councilwoman Graciano read the Juneteenth resolution, noted its historical significance and the council voted to approve it as well.
