ALC economist reports August revenue collections up; cumulative deviation $75.7 million above forecast

Dr. Carlos Silva, Legislative Economist for the Bureau of Legislative Research, presented the August 2025 General Revenue and Annual Revenue reports to the Arkansas Legislative Council on Sept. 26.
Silva reported that gross general revenues year-to-date were approximately $1.29 billion, an increase of $69.5 million (5.7%) compared with $1.22 billion at the same point last fiscal year. He said the net general revenue available for distribution was $1.13 billion—an increase of $82.4 million, or 7.9%—from $1.04 billion in August 2024. Silva reported the cumulative deviation for August 2025 was $75.7 million above forecast.
