Allen said Day Farm plans to install an underdrain in the basin to allow water to drain toward the river, a step intended to mitigate standing water and protect the project work area. The administrator did not provide estimates of remediation cost or a revised schedule; council discussion flagged the meeting with ODOT as a near-term decision point for the project timeline.
The development poses potential schedule risk for pavement completion this season and required environmental remediation of contaminated soil. Council members did not vote on any change orders during the meeting; the village will report outcomes of the ODOT discussion and any schedule changes to the public after that meeting.
