The Kenosha Board of Water Commissioners approved a quitclaim dedication of right-of-way to 7th Avenue and received information about dedications for 78th and 79th Streets on Feb. 10.
Utility staff said the actions are the first in a series of parcel and lot-line adjustments intended to clean up ownership around the wastewater plant, help secure future clean-water grant funding, and allow the state to pursue shoreline revetment work on a parcel south of the wastewater plant. Staff recommended dedicating a small corner of the parcel to 7th Avenue and noted the 78th/79th Street dedications are informational at this point because those parcels are already under city ownership.
The board moved and seconded approval of the 7th Avenue dedication and approved it by voice vote. Staff said further actions and related items will be brought to the board and other city committees and the common council as necessary.
