Henrico School Board honors outgoing leader and celebrates Class of 2026

The Henrico County School Board opened the June 11 meeting with recognitions that included tribute to Adrienne Cole Johnson for her leadership and service to the division, a Virginia School Boards Association business honor roll presentation, and highlights from the Class of 2026.
Board members praised Cole Johnson’s leadership, the expansion of family and community engagement and the work of her team. M. Baiton, director of workforce and career development, presented the VSBA business honor roll, acknowledging local employers and partners who support career and technical education and internships for students.
Superintendent Dr. Cashwell noted the scale of the graduating class — about 3,500 students — and reported that 66% of graduates earned an advanced studies diploma. He also highlighted students who earned associate degrees through dual‑enrollment programs and the division’s career‑credential achievements.
The recognitions were followed by the public forum and regular business.
