Robbins board approves 2025 tax levy and several routine measures

A separate resolution establishing the Village's policy for accepting donated real estate (Resolution 11-25-25 R1) was approved on a motion by Trustee Holmes and seconded by Trustee Harper. Both measures passed on the same roll-call tally as the levy ordinance (ayes: Dyson, Harper, Holmes, Collier; absent: Kelly, Maxey).
Trustee Michael Collier moved, with Trustee Chanel Kelly offering the second, to approve the official Village-observed holidays for 2026; that motion passed. The board also approved cancelling the Dec. 23, 2025 council meeting on a motion by Trustee Thomas Harper, seconded by Trustee Collier.
The board entered executive session under Section 2(c)(11) — pending, probable or imminent litigation — and later reconvened. After returning to open session the trustees approved a settlement agreement and general release on a motion by Trustee Collier, seconded by Trustee Holmes; the vote was recorded as ayes: Dyson, Harper, Holmes, Collier; absent: Kelly, Maxey.
Pro Tem Dyson opened the meeting and thanked volunteers and donors who supported the recent turkey giveaway. Village Administrator Korie Dickson provided a written report and listed agencies and private donors that contributed to upcoming events and senior services. The meeting minutes and all motions were recorded by Village Clerk Sharon Dyson.
Minutes show consistent votes across the formal actions: each of the recorded motions passed with four ayes (Dyson, Harper, Holmes, Collier) and two absentees (Kelly, Maxey).
