The Attleboro Planning Board on May 18 approved several procedural actions and scheduling items during its business meeting. The board granted Winchester Investments, LLC an extension to June 30, 2026 for the preliminary subdivision “The Woods at Oakhill” after staff presented a Form P2 extension request from attorney John F. D. Jacobi III; the board tabled further action on the pending application.
Separately, Jude Jacobs of Kings and Castle Group informed the board that paving for the Middle Street Extension had been delayed because the Wastewater Department required additional sewer testing and a new permit; Jacobs told the board he would complete all construction within two weeks after re‑testing but requested an extension to June 15, 2026 to complete all work shown on the definitive street extension plan. Director Gary Ayrassian said he re‑inspected the site, took photographs showing uncompleted items, and reminded Jacobs to notify affected residents in advance and schedule a police detail for paving work. The board unanimously approved the requested extension.
Director Ayrassian asked the board to hold a joint public hearing with the Municipal Council on proposed amendments to §17‑12.0 (Flood Plain District). Tiffany Foster moved to schedule the joint hearing for June 2, 2026 and to cancel the board’s June 1 meeting; Shannon Bénay seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Staff also noted that Roddy Road, LLC filed a Major Site Plan Review application under §17‑15.0 for a proposed approximately 480,000‑square‑foot warehouse at 0 Roddy Street and 0 Tuner Street in the Industrial zoning district; the minutes record the filing but show no board action on that application during the meeting. The board tabled the minutes for April 27 and May 4 and reviewed correspondence before adjourning at 7:05 p.m.
No individual dissent or abstentions were recorded in the minutes; actions were recorded as unanimous approvals where votes were taken.
