Enon council approves minutes and Mayor’s Court report, hears staff updates on snow cleanup and operations

The Village of Enon council on Feb. 8 approved routine business items and heard several administrative updates. Council approved the Jan. 25 minutes (motion firsted by Jeremy Whitacre, seconded by Brenda Sweet; Dave Babcock abstained) and then approved the Mayor's Court report with corrections (unanimous). The meeting included staff reports on snow-removal efforts and other village operations.
Context: Council members publicly thanked village and township road crews, Enon Police and a Clark County Sheriff's deputy, and Fire and EMS staff for their work during a recent snow storm. Council member Rick Hanna asked that photos of the cleanup be posted to the village Facebook page.
Other items provided by the administrator included a successful blood drive, an ongoing Zoom session with the Ohio Plan regarding the employee handbook, obtaining engineering quotes for a vacant lot, and training plans for staff pesticide licenses (Wayne and Kevin). The administrator said financial reports are being prepared by Laura and will be posted later for council review. The police chief was noted to be at training during the meeting. The meeting adjourned at 7:21 p.m.
What was voted: The minutes and the Mayor's Court report were approved as recorded; the council also approved a separate motion on BZA appointments at the same meeting (see separate article).
