Residents press Board to resist Weisel Village recognition and raise lake‑area development concerns

Steven Hall said he was opposed to the volume of traffic created by Lake House events and said he would like a quieter neighborhood.
During a later public comment period, resident Curt Barthel asked how the public could stay informed about short‑term rental issues mentioned in Planning Commission materials and was encouraged to attend future meetings. Susan Holtje reiterated opposition to Weisel Village recognition and asked that the Nockamixon State Park lake be protected. Nockamixon Park Manager Obie Derr requested the opportunity to review any proposed plans for development along the lake and was advised to sign up for township news alerts; he also noted that Mountain View Drive will be closed in March for a bridge repair. Beth Hartman raised stormwater concerns tied to potential development, and Vicki Sellers said she has observed speeding on Callowhill Street and a site‑visibility concern at Callowhill Street and SR 563; the police and manager will notify Perkasie Borough and monitor the location.
