East Rockhill adopts $4.09M 2020 budget and fixes 2020 real estate tax components

On Dec. 19 the East Rockhill Township Board of Supervisors adopted its final budget for 2020, approving Resolution 2019-11 which sets revenues and expenses at $4,094,912 across all funds. The board also adopted Resolution 2019-12 fixing the township’s real estate tax rate components for 2020 at 8.725 mills for general purposes, 1.0 mill for fire protection, 1.26 mills for building debt service and 1.25 mills for capital improvement.
The board approved Resolution 2019-09 setting the 2020 street light assessment at $41.00 per designated property and adopted Resolution 2019-10 to fix the township’s 2020 fee schedule (including changing the zoning residential demolition accessory building fee to $100). Each resolution was adopted on motions moved and seconded by Supervisors David Nyman and Jim Nietupski, with all present voting in favor.
Board members and staff did not record additional debate in the minutes. The budget adoption establishes the township’s fiscal plan for municipal operations in 2020 and fixes assessments and fees used for municipal services.
