The East Rockhill Township Board of Supervisors on Dec. 19 directed Township Solicitor Patrick Armstrong to assist Assistant Zoning Officer Steve Baluh at a Jan. 15, 2020 Zoning Hearing involving enforcement notices issued to properties known as 1086 and 1090 Old Bethlehem Road. The notices, dated Nov. 1, 2019, allege violations of the East Rockhill Zoning Ordinance related to operating a B8 Rooming or Boarding House use on parcels 12-11-52-6 and 12-11-52-3.
During the public comment period, resident Steven Hall thanked the board for its enforcement actions against the Lake House Inn. Neighbor Ned Powell said he lives across the street from the Lake House Inn and indicated that he and Dr. Alice Moore are available to serve as witnesses at the zoning hearing. The board voted, on a motion by Supervisor David Nyman seconded by Supervisor Jim Nietupski, to have the solicitor assist at the hearing; all present voted in favor.
Solicitor Patrick Armstrong reported the Zoning Hearing Board application by WEGBB, Inc., which seeks to appeal the enforcement notices. The board’s direction does not resolve the appeal; it authorizes township legal support at the upcoming hearing. No court or Zoning Hearing decision is recorded in these minutes.
