Committees elect Union officers, reappoint school physician and review policy updates

Policy items: Administration presented a first reading to update the medication-administration policy to align with recent updates to Commonwealth of Massachusetts regulations (CMR 105 CMR 210). The policy will be posted for public feedback and returned to the policy subcommittee in the fall with a target second reading later in the year. The committees also reviewed distribution of approved policies including middle-school pathway exploration, controversial speakers guidance, immunization requirements, wellness policy, and athletic concussion policy; members offered research and requested targeted outreach and parent-facing infographics.
Minutes and personnel: The committees approved combined open meeting minutes of March 11, 2026 by roll-call votes and accepted personnel updates (resignation/transfer announcements and new appointments noted in the packet).
