District leaders presented a draft strategic plan, Vision 2032, describing stakeholder engagement and five strategic objectives that will guide district priorities through the next planning cycle.
The draft preserves the district's core commitments to high-quality teaching, equitable opportunities and social-emotional development while increasing emphasis on future readiness and the ethical integration of artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies. Administrators said the plan will be paired with a 2026–27 action plan that specifies timelines, responsible parties, performance measures and resource implications.
The presenter said Vision 2032 "builds upon a strong foundation established in Vision 2026" and stressed that the plan is intended as a living document. Committee members thanked staff and community participants for the work and requested a formal combined presentation at the September 16 meeting so members can review metrics and milestones.
The board did not vote on the plan; it will continue to gather feedback from educators, families, students and advisory groups before a final draft is returned to the committee.
