East Rockhill backs Pennridge Regional Police budget, approves up to $100,000 from reserves

Chief Blake presented the Pennridge Regional Police activity report for September 2019 and informed the Board a drug take-back event is scheduled Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Police Headquarters. Following the presentation, the Board voted to support the Pennridge Regional Police budget proposed by Chief Blake and the Public Safety Committee, including the recommendation to purchase one new patrol car and to use up to $100,000 from the Capital Reserve Fund to reduce the 2020 financial impact on the two townships.
The motion to support the budget and the use of Capital Reserve funds passed unanimously on a motion by Mr. Nyman, seconded by Mr. Volovnik. The Chief’s activity report and the budget materials are on file with the township.
