The Warren Local Board of Education unanimously approved a series of routine financial actions at its Nov. 20 regular meeting, including payment of October 2024 bills totaling $2,385,937.93 and acceptance of the five‑year forecast presented by Treasurer Mrs. Wells. The board also approved financial reports, investment records and several Then‑and‑Now invoice payments.
The approved Then‑and‑Now payments included a $6,233.27 reimbursement to Fort Frye Local Schools related to FFA National Convention expenses and two invoices to Carver’s Electric, Plumbing, and Heating, Inc. for $4,810.18 (cooling tower work) and $3,176.88 (water main repairs). The board recorded investment earnings of $621.32 deposited into the Permanent Improvement Fund for October 2024.
The motion to approve these items (Res. No. 82‑24) was made by Mr. Roush and seconded by Mr. Crum and carried on a unanimous roll‑call vote: Mr. Allen, yes; Mr. Crum, yes; Mrs. Greenup, yes; Mrs. Proctor, yes; Mr. Roush, yes. The vote also approved the minutes of the Oct. 24, 2024 meeting and routine financial statements, including the cash position report and investment balances.
Board members noted committee-level review of the five‑year forecast in the Finance Committee prior to the meeting; the forecast will guide future budgeting and capital planning. No dissenting votes were recorded.
