Hardin County committee reviews one-year renewal and name change for cybersecurity service

Aaron described the item as "the final part of the file process" and said the package needs the judge's signature so the county can finalize a renewal that was placed in the 2025 budget. He said the vendor name and product labeling had changed (vendor referenced as Arctic Wolf; product as Cylance) but that the subscription is the same one-year SaaS arrangement and the cost remains as budgeted.
Aaron also summarized the types of data the product retrieves for threat analysis: emails, phone numbers, IP addresses, geolocation, user data tags, device IDs and metadata. Staff noted the current subscription runs through June 30; completion of the signature will allow the county to continue uninterrupted service. The committee agreed to place the item on the June 23 agenda for signature and processing.
The committee did not take a final procurement vote during the meeting; staff said the item was included in last year's budget and expects routine processing to complete the renewal.
