Save the Bay asks Hopkinton to help recruit volunteers for storm-drain marking program

McCarthy asked whether Hopkinton would share program information on the town website and allow volunteers to pick up supply kits at town hall rather than traveling to Providence. Councilors said they would forward materials to the town manager and the website team; they also suggested tapping local groups (conservation commission, Scouts, school community-service programs) to recruit volunteers.
The program runs May through October, requires volunteers to fill a waiver and document locations visited, and offers training materials and a short demonstration video. Save the Bay provides a supply bag and an online tracking form for volunteers to log their progress.
