Pezzulo emphasized the presentation was conceptual and that he was seeking legislative permission (a local-law amendment) to allow the use; detailed site work and screening would be handled by the Planning Board.
Councilwoman Kelly Jasinski said she thought self-storage should be an allowed use but urged attractive landscaping since the site is a gateway into town. Councilman Chuck Curtiss raised pedestrian-safety concerns, recommending a sidewalk along Route 67. Councilman Michael Carota said he saw no issue with the use and expects the Planning Board to address site design. The Town Attorney advised next steps: amend the local law and refer the project to the Planning Board.
