The Jefferson School Board Committee recorded multiple routine votes during its June 9 meeting. Key outcomes the board approved by voice vote included:
- Acceptance of the resignation of fifth-grade teacher Jesse Grady (motion made and seconded; voice vote recorded). (SEG 752–761)
- Approval of a facilities director shared-services agreement with Noble Burough (motion and seconded; board asked staff to correct a typographical error in the document before signing). (SEG 676–707)
- Purchase of six cafeteria tables for a quoted cost (presented in the meeting transcript as 24,65812), funded from the facilities/instructional furniture cost center; motion moved, seconded and approved. Staff said funds remained in the cost center and that transfers of up to 5% are possible if needed. (SEG 841–923)
- Adoption of policy ACE on second read (motion, second, voice vote). (SEG 1432–1441)
- Election of officers: Andy Bernier was nominated and approved to continue as treasurer; Sue (Susan) Williamson was nominated to a board officer role and approved. (SEG 1239–1248)
- Authorization for the superintendent (Superintendent Sanders) to extend and issue staff contracts during July—with formal board approval to follow at the August meeting—so long as budget conditions allow; motion moved, seconded and approved. The board agreed that if the budget did not pass, summer hiring would require additional meetings. (SEG 1249–1311)
Votes were taken by voice; the transcript records chair-led voice votes and did not include roll-call tallies. Staff will bring corrected documents (where noted) for signatures and will present final FY26 numbers and related financial confirmations at future meetings.
