State flags Jefferson filtration system; board to review replacement options

Separately, the facilities report covered a failed building management controller that was replaced from a rebuilt spare and a plan to rebuild the removed controller for future redundancy. The custodial contract set to expire July 1 will be replaced with in-house hires, staff said, and the board approved purchasing six cafeteria tables from the facilities line using available funds.
The board asked staff to continue vetting filtration options and to return with engineering recommendations and a clear estimate of total costs and funding sources before any contract is awarded.
