Denmark manager reports gaps in fire-department training records; chief assembling roster

During the manager's report on Feb. 24 the Select Board was told a consultant review of the fire department identified gaps in personnel training documentation and that staff is working to compile a complete training roster.
The manager said the department consultant provided a list of missing items and that Bob (public works/chief staff contact) has created a spreadsheet listing each member and what trainings are complete or outstanding. An annual BLS training is scheduled in April and the chief has been asked to provide an updated roster showing firefighter levels (interior, exterior, EMT) because pay schedules are tied to those assignments.
"You need to sign off on your hepatitis B shot," the manager reported as an example of a required item some personnel have yet to document; the board asked for the consolidated roster and documentation to be provided at the next meeting so the Select Board can verify training compliance and payroll alignment.
Next step: chief to provide an updated roster, training matrix and the manager will distribute the consultant spreadsheet to the board.
