Salem Township’s Planning Commission opened its Feb. 4 meeting by unanimously approving the minutes from the Jan. 7, 2026 meeting.
During the meeting the commission recommended conditional approval for the Penn Home & Farm plan (adding Lot 1 to Tax Parcel 57‑12‑08‑0‑006 and Lot 2 to 57‑12‑00‑0‑021) provided the applicant add three owner certifications with notary blocks, include the Planning Commission signature nomenclature, add a note explaining the 25-foot setback was maintained by prior modification, and supply a revision number and date. The motion to recommend those conditions carried unanimously.
The commission also voted to table several items: the Ross & Steel lot-line revision (because the owner John Steel was absent and a notarized affidavit authorizing representation was not provided), the Dunlap & Dunlap lot-line revision at the applicant’s request, and the Schlemmer land‑development project (wedding venue), which remains tabled pending revised plans and outstanding SALDO compliance items. The meeting adjourned at 9:05 p.m.; the next regular meeting is scheduled for March 4, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., if an agenda is posted.
