Councilmember Patrick Shea reported human‑services activity for December and 2025 at the Jan. 5 meeting. "For December, the Community Food Pantry provided 4,372 meals and served 608 individuals in our community," Shea said. Year‑to‑date figures show the pantry served 5,927 unduplicated people and distributed 75,704 meals; 165 families accessed pantry services for the first time in 2025.
Shea also summarized senior transportation usage: the Senior Transportation Program provided 866 one‑way trips and more than 8,200 miles in December. For the full year 2025, seniors recorded 4,195 one‑way trips and traveled 33,749 miles to medical appointments and essential services, Shea said. Council expressed thanks to Human Services staff.
No policy action or budget vote was taken on these reports at the Jan. 5 meeting; the numbers were presented for council information and future planning.
