The board approved a $6,000 proposal from Gibson‑Thomas Engineering to prepare specifications and bid documents for repairs to a damaged mast arm assembly at the 119/22 intersection; supervisors said repairs would start immediately to stabilize the pole and that the engineering fee would not be exceeded without written authorization.
Supervisors also voted to advertise bid specifications for the permanent repair and ratified the advertisement to amend Restricted Roadways Ordinance No. 1‑2024 Exhibit A to add Quarry, Thorn Run, McQuaide and Orr roads to the weight‑restricted list after the Township Engineer provided a study list. Resident Tim Kepple raised concerns that bonding requirements for road repairs could fall on residents rather than businesses; Supervisor Todd Paulich said engineer studies are required before weight limits can be imposed and that complaints came from neighbors reporting heavy hauling.
All motions carried unanimously. The board said a special meeting is possible to expedite any ordinance vote to protect roads showing damage from heavy truck traffic.
